Football and Fete National

Evenings on the farm are beautiful at this time of the year, every animal enjoys the coolness, the piglets come out to play, following Mum as she forages in the grass for the early drop apples we toss her. The Boar dozes on a nest of crushed greenery, allowing the mud to dry, rolling and scratching occasionally.
The birds are still singing, and we have nightingales in the woods behind us. The sheep move back into the paddocks, following the shadows, to begin the nights grazing. During the day though, most are sheltering in the shade, me included.
We are open for Sunday lunch, however after Saurday’s frolics and with tension building for the football finals on Sunday evening, will we see many of you?
I think a gentle Sunday lunch will restore you and prepare you for the rigours of the World Cup…or to doze right through it!
